i’m really bad with emails but i do want to keep in touch with my friends and i’m thinking snail with a personal touch. so i’ve been drawing little pictures and printing them out on not particularly professional looking postcard papers. but i’m a little embarrassed that if i asked people for addresses, they might come to expect something more than a dingy postcard. would you be happy if i sent you just a simple picture or illo postcard? it’s still made in japan. :>
i live in a basin. a blizzarding basin of snow. if this doesn’t stop soon, i’m going to have to don plastic sakuras and perform the spring dance. while i did say i’m getting used to winter, all the blizzarding in february is stretching things a little.
it takes a little effort, but i try to look around for things that can give my spirits a lift. and sometimes, i find them.

ALT: “What is the opposite of ‘interesting’?”
Student: “Study.”
ALT: “Well, that can be true. But I’m looking for a word that starts with B.”
Student: “… Baseball.”
might be a good title for my autobiography.
now, if i would do just that, i might be able to save myself from imploding.
