September 2008

my sister-in-law once told me the easiest way to pack might be to throw everything into a bed sheet and drag it to the new place. i’ve yet to try out this method but i think it works for this week’s illustration friday topic. *laugh*

and over here in aizu, summer has packed up and gone. the autumn rain is making me cold, heavy and tired. i spent this weekend watching project runway season 5 but the contestants of this season just lack the likeability of the contestants in the previous seasons. i find myself not particularly inspired by their fashion nor interested in who will make it to the top three. but maybe it’s just because i’m feeling blah. hopefully, i will get out of this funk soon enough and feel a little better.

and suddenly, quite a lot to look forward to.

coffee on a rainy sunday morning, my hamsters still sleeping, and a black carbon owl staring blankly at me. a list that says “Cats, lots of cats (one will not do)”. indeed, one will not do. i think i’ll have another cup of coffee.

i wasn’t really sure how to approach this theme. but just for the fun of it:

“they were a little different…”

this movie had me laughing and crying and then laughing and crying. it’s like watching disney + tim burton on japanese crack. good stuff.

totally totally totally distracted. thank god for long weekends.

i’ve been destination-less for the longest time, content, or at least resigned to taking a step at a time. but somehow, somewhere, something in a distance is taking the shape of what he would prefer to call a goal, though i am just happy to call it a wuzzy fuzzy dream. with me, things change despite my best efforts to stay on track, so yes, i can’t help but feel a little frightened.

but it’s also true that i’m feeling more inspired and secure than ever before.

i think i’m finally ready to rest the life of the fool and make some magic.

erm, but maybe a bit of the fool will always remain in me. (笑)
