OH HONEY, If this photo you took doesn’t say get you out of your rut then let me encourage you somemore. You know all of us artist/illustrator/crafters fall into them sometimes. I think that sometimes we are just to hard on ourselves to produce these BRILLIANT, FANTASTI, and OUT THIS WORLD kind of art and when it doesn’t happen it can way us down. I have been coming to your blog and I love what you do. I think what you do is awesome. I love the care you take in creating your illustrations and pictures and your characters are just the best. My very favorite is your banner. It’s always makes me smile each time I see it! Okay with all that said, here are a few tips to do to get me out of a rut.
1.pick two colors and use them to illustrate anything.
2.draw in the dark. Yeah I know, but try it anyway.
3.Try another medium. pastels, collage( I love this) watercolors,
crayons anything you like.
4.get some really great children’s book and check out the new styles in illustration for inspiration.
