the name of this site comes from four little fluffy buns sitting in a cardboard steamer. they are all called 饅頭くん, cousins of 桃ちゃん and 温泉卵くん. we saved the pink, white, green and brown buns from one of those evil, blinking, money-swallowing contraptions otherwise known as a UFO catcher .
i think i’m a 中華饅頭, except i am neither hot nor steaming.
but i’m also quite contented being a little cat, singaporean, lazing under a big, possibily pine, tree in japan. up north, in a place you’ve probably never heard of. but we are good for a strong samurai history, a nice castle of our own, hot humid summer, cold snowy winters and horse sashimi.
i read japanese (a little) i speak mandarin (in my singaporean accent) i write english (quite broken) but i almost always think balloons.
i thought i wouldn’t make a personal website anymore. because i am lazy. and also because i didn’t mind living quietly instead of parading the little i have. but i am blogging again mainly because i must continue to practice writing before i end up writing in balloons as well. and i also need a public space to motivate myself to continue drawing and taking photographs.
and if you really need to put a tidy label to the mess of buns, cats and balloons on this site, it’s rebekah.

Noticed that you changed the picture for your site, and is it that Charles and Keith shoe you got in SG with me?
